Budding teenage fashion designers showcased their creativity at the just concluded eighth edition of Recycled Fashion Show, held at the famous Young At Art Museum in Florida.

Participated by young design aspirants from the museum’s Leadership Program and the nationally-recognized not-for-profit organization PACE Center for girls, the event highlighted about 16 innovative clothing designs inspired from classic comic book superheroes.

Themed as ‘Superheroes: Restyled!’, the show featured re-interpretations of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Captain America and Captain Marvel dressed in clothing made from materials like found fabric, newspaper, egg cartons, metallic mesh, cardboard, canvas, bottle caps, recycled plastics and scatter paint.

Organized with the primary aim to raise funds for teen leadership and at-risk youth programs, the catwalk show displayed designs like a bubble wrap dress, based on popular Powerpuff Girls’ character Bubbles, made from bubble wrapping paper by the six-year-old fashion genius Jolie Dubuisson.
