Adidas' & Yamamoto's Y-3 moves to Paris

Y-3, the upmarket collaborative line between sportswear giant Adidas and influential Japanese fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto, is moving its much-anticipated catwalk show from New York to the city of lights—Paris.
 
After showcasing its collections at the New York Fashion Week for five consecutive years, the German-Japanese label is prepping up to feature its men’s and women’s autumn-2014 collections on January 19, 2014, as part of the French capital’s men’s fashion week.
 
Started in 2003, Y-3 specializes in high-end sportswear-inspired pieces. The brand recently marked its 10th anniversary by releasing a limited edition book, featuring the most popular campaign images from the past decade, important collections, memorable one-off pieces and an epilogue written by famous American rapper ASAP Rocky.
 
Based in Tokyo and Paris, the 70-year-old multiple award winning design veteran Yamamoto in known for his traditional Japanese aesthetics influenced avant-garde tailoring.
 
Founded in 1924, based in Germany, Adidas is considered as the largest sportswear manufacturer in Europe and the second biggest in the world.
