After putting on the first fashion trade show in Asia to attract credible international brands to do business with the regional retailers in August 2013.

The HUB ups the ante again as it moves into its second edition on 25-27th February at Asia World Expo.

Completely new is the Greenhouse, a district within the HUB dedicated to young, progressive labels from across the world. With its own distinct design and ambiance, the Greenhouse will resemble a chic showroom in Paris or London.

Featured will be of 50 designers with the focus on young, creative labels making a splash internationally, many of which show at major fashion weeks. Participants include a selection of labels that show at London Fashion Week from Project Crossover, which represent labels including Haizhen Wang, PPQ, Jean-Pierre Braganza and others.

One exhibitor, Jamil Juma from New York's Juma comments: “We look forward to participating in the Green House. It's a great way to reach out to Chinese companies as well as International participants in a well curated show.”

Says Peter Caplowe, Co-founder of The Hub, “One of the key aspects of The Hub is that, although based in Asia, we don't favor local labels.

"Anyone showing at The Hub is here on merit alone – as such, we are delighted to have found such a wealth of world class talent in the region and are certain they will make waves globally, especially with a new platform, The Greenhouse, at which they can show alongside the world’s best emerging designers.”

The Greenhouse is an opportunity for Asia’s rising stars to take their place alonside international peers. Participant Shenzhen-based V Major's Victor Zhu says "I am really excited to have found the right environment to present my collections – sometimes Asian designers are not always seriously enough at fashion events in the West whilst local events are often not selective enough about which brands they show and lack the credibility to attract international buyers.”

The focal point of The Greenhouse will be a stylish lounge in which designers, buyers, and press can mingle, sharing experiences, discussing business and making their plans for the upcoming evening. The HUB will once again offer a delectable assortment of events and other nightlife at the coolest quirkiest venues across central Hong Kong.

New Partners

Supporting in this goal, the HUB has several new partners. The media partner is Style by Asia, a web community, serving as a one-stop shop for inspiration, insights and trends within fashion, design, arts and other style-related fields in Hong Kong and Asia beyond.

A comprehensive source for style and fashion trends, and insights and events in Asia, Style by Asia will be hosting guest bloggers from the HUB as well as participating in the seminar series this year.

Blender, the Bookmagazine from Paris, will develop a dedicated edition to feature brands and designers exhibiting at the HUB that will be circulated during January in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, cities throughout Southeast Asia and Paris.

And as if the location of the HUB wasn't convenient enough, Cathay Pacific Airways, and sister airline Dragonair will offer registered exhibitors, buyers and travel companions a exclusive savings on flights to Hong Kong.
