ISKO sponsors 'Istanbul Designers' at LAFW show

ISKO, a leader in innovative denim fabrics and technologies, announced that it will sponsor “Istanbul Designers” taking place Saturday, March 15 as part of Concept Shows within Los Angeles Fashion Week.

“We are thrilled to be one of the principal sponsors of the Istanbul Designers event,” said Marco Lucietti, Marketing Director SANKO - ISKO Division. “This is our first-ever sponsorship of a non-trade, U.S.-based fashion event which underscores the increasing importance of denim within the context of forward-looking fashion industry trends and concepts.”

With its sponsorship, ISKO aims to reinforce its relationship with premium denim brands and build awareness among the fashion-savvy end consumers. Additionally, the sponsorship of “Istanbul Designers” is the perfect place for ISKO to have a presence as the denim maker seeks to continue to identify, educate, and support the next generation of designers and creative talent emerging not only out of Istanbul, but around the globe.

Participating for the first time in Concept Shows – now in its ninth season and one of the most anticipated fashion events of the week – “Istanbul Designers,” a project supported by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, will be represented by one of the most sought after Turkish designers, Özgür Masur, showcasing his Fall-Winter 2014/2015 collection.

As one of the main event sponsors, ISKO will be contributing to the opening “red carpet” with an official “denim carpet,” made from 35% recycled cotton fabric – a reflection of ISKOs eco-friendly approach as the company produces more than 200 million meters of denim per year.

“The event, taking place Saturday, March 15, at Mack Sennett Studios in Los Angeles, is supported by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism and will aim to showcase Turkey’s vision and strength within the fashion and textile industries. The official denim carpet, beginning at 8:30 p.m., will be followed by a cocktail party and runway show and will conclude with an official after party at Mari Vanna LA in West Hollywood.
