Label Raven + Rose lightens LFW runway with glamour

Ami Grewal, under her label Raven + Rose presented a glamorous and edgy collection titled ‘On the Rocks’ at Jabong Stage during Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2014. Inspired by nature as well as the rush of city life, the designer showcased silhouettes, which were feminine yet subtly, structured and comprised short dresses, gowns, kaftans and cover ups.
Luxurious fabrics like jersey and silk chiffons were tailored to perfection to complement and contour the body, embellished with large motifs, feathers, beads and sequins to give off a sophisticated tribal feel.
Keeping the colour palette fresh, bold hues of green, black, pink, orange, yellow, and peach gave the collection a funky-chic touch while tones of beige and cream worked to add a charming vintage appeal.
To show the versatility of the collection, a gorgeous two-way black dress with a large opulent peacock feather embellished in sequins graced the ramp.
