Fashion event Momad Metropolis by IFEMA to begin on Sep 12

MOMAD METROPOLIS, the International Fashion Trade Show, which is organised by IFEMA, will stage its third event between 12th and 14th September at Feria de Madrid, within the framework of the largest showcase for fashion and trends in Southern Europe. This unique and exclusive forum aimed at members of the trade is the result of the coincident staging in terms of dates and venues of five different events, all leaders within their respective sectors. 
Thus, the multi-sector fashion event, MOMAD METROPOLIS, will coincide from 12th to 16th September with a new staging of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, the grand forum for the promotion of Spanish design.
At the same time, between 10 and 14th September, MOMAD will coincide with the trade fairs, Bisutex, Intergift and MadridJoya, all of which are organised by IFEMA and serve as key points of reference for the fashion jewellery, jewellery, gift and decoration sectors. All of these events together will make up a highly comprehensive, consolidated and effective trade and business showcase, distributed throughout Halls 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12 and 14 at Feria de Madrid.
The coincident staging of these events at the same venue and on the same dates provides members of the fashion industry with a unique opportunity to gain a first-hand insight into the latest new ideas in clothing, footwear, accessories, fashion jewellery, jewellery and decorative items, as presented by 1,800 participating brands. They will also be able to discover the creations of some 40 Spanish designers on the catwalk. More than 110,000 professionals from 70 countries are expected to visit these trade shows.  
Furthermore, the joint staging of these events represents another step in IFEMA's drive to establish Madrid as one of the leading centres in the world for the fashion business and for international trends.  The first stage in this process took place last February with the joint staging of MOMAD METROPOLIS and MERCEDES-BENZ FASHION WEEK MADRID, an initiative that generated a significant degree of synergy between the two events, together with the development of various joint measures. 
MOMAD METROPOLIS: An Additional Hall and New Sections
For its staging in September, MOMAD METROPOLIS is working on strengthening its overall exhibition - Clothing, Footwear and Accessories - by focusing in particular on its Kids, Sports, Men's Fashion, Swimwear and Lingerie and Eco Fashion sections, whilst also strengthening the Foreign Buyers Programme by attracting professionals from the markets of greatest interest to the participating firms.
