Gant unveils crisp & breezy wedding collection for summers
Apr '14
This summer, GANT draws inspiration from the perfect summer wedding where the family, friends and extended family come together to celebrate and show off their best looks.
Crisp, breezy garments are worn adorned with accessories to form a look that is formal, yet relaxed.
This season’s GANT man is well-dressed in light summer fabrics and playing with color-block separates while the woman of the season combines tailored blazers, collegial prints and the little blue dress.
The collection fuses American sportswear and European tailoring to create a crisp and updated look that invokes the spirit of this celebration of love.
Collection highlights
Perfect Navy
GANT man: This season, blue is the new black. The dapper summer look consists of a worn-in madras shirt in various pastel colorsthat’s best paired with semi-tailored pants in a stretch-cotton blend to enhance comfort while holding structure. With this look GANT takes influences from the European legacy and creates the perfect combination of formal and casual.
GANT woman:  Summer 2014 makes an entrance to the seasonal wedding theme in a classic and lean silhouette with full length white or little navy blue dresses that exudes elegance and femininity. The necklines are beautifully draped and capture the essences of the simple yet stylish summer look. Lace is the must-have of the season and crème, champagne and water pastel colors are mixed together to create a block effect.
Ocean Prep
GANT Man: If Perfect Navy is suitable for a more formal occasion, then Ocean Prep will make sure that the wedding guest is dressed sharp for the aftermath. Combining nautical and collegiate themes, this Summer 2014 series focuses on a combination of fitted club blazers with tailored details, cotton-blend textured chinos and summer-friendly breathable shirts or a sun-bleached rugger. The color palette runs from fresh indigo to sunburst yellow, crème and a hint of red on pieces made of linen, seersucker and madras.
GANT Woman: Summer 2014 is defined by a chic and modern woman wearing sporty and abstract printed high waist shorts in silk and mixing it with a wider shirt in cotton blends or madras. American Sportswear is infused with a European feel. It’s a crisp look as easily worn at the brunch as going straight from the city shopping to the beach, just by adding a bikini top underneath the relaxed shirt. This season GANT pairs the ultimate day after outfit with the many variations of accessories running from hand braided belts and elegant leather handbags.
