Carmim, the most prominent Brazilian adolescence fashion brands is being sold at stores in the United Arab Emirates and Lebanon.
The trademark from the southeastern Brazilian state of São Paulo reached the Arab world after viewing its creations at Prêt à Porter fashion fair in Paris that is visited by some of the main importers in the sector.
Arabs are among the main foreign customers of Carmim. A Carmim purchaser of Dubai having a chain of stores and exclusive rights for sale of the brand, visited Brazil at the invitation of the company.
Reynaldo Pasqua Filho, Marketing Director, states that they invited their regular customers from Italy, Holland, Spain, Emirates and French reunion Islands. The Arabs buy mostly jeans from Carmim because of the sensual touch and the joy of the clothes.
The brand collection has taken a leaf from the royalty of the medieval period and from the rebellion of rock wherein embroidery and stones are mixed with skulls, tattoos and red roses decorate the clothes.
The company also exports to France, Portugal, Greece, Japan, Belgium and Lebanon. Although overseas markets, still does not signify much in the sales of Carmim, according to Reynaldo, "Operations are only just beginning," he explained.
From Brazil, Carmim produces 700,000-800,000 clothing items, with its own jeans factory in the city of Santo André, in the state of Sao Paulo. Rest is out-sourced as part of the production.
