According to a statement released by Press Information Department of Pakistan, Mr. Malik said during the event that the fashion week would pave a way for expanding Pakistan’s textile and fabric exports to the UAE, and the gulf region.
There is a huge market demand for Pakistani textiles, fabrics and ready-made garments in the gulf region, and several Pakistanis live in the UAE, hence, the fashion week is a perfect opportunity for Pakistani textile manufacturers and designers to explore these markets, he added.
According to Mr. Malik, the event managed to showcase Pakistani textiles and designs to international buyers, and textile manufacturers from the country also got the opportunity to establish business contacts with them.
The three-day event, organized by Asian Lifestyle Events Company, saw around 10 Pakistani designers showcasing their latest collections to buyers in the UAE. Textile manufacturers from the country also exhibited their latest products such as fabrics, home textiles, ready-made garments and more during the event.
