The American online fashion retailer Modcloth has collaborated with the Marie Claire women’s magazine columnist Nicolette Mason to create a plus-size collection.
The 10-piece range, which will mark the Manhattan-based style blogger’s debut in fashion design, will be available in sizes XS to 4X.
Slated to be released on October 6, 2014 on the retailer’s website, the Mason for ModCloth range features a pair of black trousers with white piping on the sides, a 1950’s style pink and black polka-dotted dress, a black tulle skirt and some buttoned up blouses, tailored tuxedo-style jackets and nipped-in waist numbers.
Mason has also modeled in some of the looks from her collection.
The young writer expressed her joy over the collection on her personal blog saying, “After many, many months of secret-keeping, hard work, and serious excitement, the cat is finally out of the bag: I’ve partnered with ModCloth to design my first clothing collection!”
A native of Los Angeles, Mason is the voice behind the “Big Girl in a Skinny World”, a popular column published in Marie Claire magazine.
Modcloth offers a host of clothing and decor items from more than 700 independent designers. The company owns offices in Pittsburgh, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
