50 global brands partake at first edition of Pure Shanghai

Pure Shanghai opens its doors for the first time next month, bringing a host of British and international fashion brands to China.

The inaugural fashion event, which has been borne out of the success of the Pure London show, will take place 20-22 October, 2014 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.

Over 50 British and international brands will join the eclectic line-up of Chinese designers at the show, providing buyers, agents and distributors with both a diverse and inspirational offering.

Exhibitors include, Sarah Pacini, Zyga Paris, By Ti-mo, Charli London, Almost Famous, Religion, Fever London, Sam Ubhi, Melissa Mcarthur, Cici London, Choi Boko, TFNC, Jones + Jones, Gina Bacconi, Ness, PIT Amsterdam, and Bodyfrock, to name just a few.

The show will provide a valuable platform for these brands to build relationships with key influencers across China’s fashion market, a £98 billion industry that is expected to account for 30% of the global fashion market’s growth over the next five years.

Further enhancing opportunities for British brands to reach Chinese markets will be the presence and support of UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) at the show.

Katy Roberts, Event Manager for Pure Shanghai at i2i Events Group said, “The success of Pure London in August has further grown the strong exhibitor list confirmed for Pure Shanghai, which features a hugely exciting selection of brands.

“We look forward to welcoming these brands, along with buyers and visitors, for what is sure to be a prosperous launch show.”

Pure Shanghai will be held in partnership with CCPIT TEX, the largest textile association in China.

Pure London is the UK's leading trade fashion buying event, representing womenswear, footwear, accessories, young fashion. Organised by i2i Events Group, it takes place every February and August. (AR)
