The just concluded four-day-long Aussie celebration Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival Sydney (MBFFS) showcased an array of innovative clothing lines from a mix of more than 50 new and seasoned national design talents.

The iconic Australian fashion label Alannah Hill, under the guidance of its newly appointed creative director Dimitria Papafotiou, featured a sexy Spring/Summer collection with several on-trend casual sporty and androgynous inspired statement looks. Adorned with digitalized floral and leopard prints, the La Bombe line was replete with lace detailing, cinched waist dresses and midi skirts.

Womenswear brand Alice McCall offered a collage print heavy range, which included ensembles like pleated moss green coloured playsuits, thigh-grazing playful dresses and vibrant swimsuits, for the next season whereas designer Emma Mulholland drew inspiration from the relaxed resort life and 1980’s jet set age for her latest men’s, women’s and swimwear pieces.

In addition to the afore-mentioned names, labels like Alex Perry, Camilla, Dion Lee and We Are Handsome also presented their eclectic creations at the soiree which hosted a series of celebrity events and exhibitions on the sidelines of the runway shows. (PB)
