Calvin Klein’s women’s creative director Francisco Costa invoked urban eroticism with his latest fall-2015 runway presentation on the final day of New York Fashion Week.

Created in simple streamlined silhouettes with a hint of sophisticated yet free-spirited sporty touches, the range is a combination of textural leather and soft luxe wool made pieces.

Enhanced with artisanal patchwork details and youthful deconstructed frayed edges and studs, the line incorporates cashmere and woven chenille with contrasting parchment leather and shearling, accentuated with curled, sheared, embossed and needle punched effects.

According to a media statement from the brand, the featured pieces at the Spring Studios’ show were full-length skirts, knit jumpsuits, turtlenecks, trenches, mini peacoats and evening maxi dresses with plunging necklines.

The palette is based on feminine and naturally subtle hues of ivory, blush and wood along with complimentary tones of black, forest, terracotta, aubergine, burgundy as well as glossy accents of shimmering metallic shades.

The collection’s accessory entries include lightweight stretch suede and napa leather square-toed boots, oversized front zip footwear, mid-heeled Mary Janes, tortoise print loafers and some re-interpretations of signature chain-link Calvin bag featuring oversized resin or tortoise straps.

The catwalk was attended by some key editors, stylists, retailers and celebs including the American-born British actress Sienna Miller who was clad in an ivory leather patchwork jacket and knit dress from Calvin Klein Collection’s Pre-Fall 2015 offering. (PB)
