Saban Brands has signed two licensing deals with multi-brand licensing and distribution company ‘The Mercer House’ and creative and strategic branding agency ‘North Hill’ for its rock music-inspired fashion and lifestyle label Macbeth.

According to the new agreement, the Montreal-based full-service firm The Mercer House will act as the American brand’s global footwear partner and will have exclusive rights to its apparels and accessories in North America.

The company’s president Steven Nadler commented on the new partnership in a press statement, “I've always loved and respected Macbeth for its unique position within the industry and see this as an incredible opportunity with Saban Brands Lifestyle Group's partnership.”

The Canadian firm recently debuted its first Macbeth-branded Fall-2015 apparel and footwear collection at The Agenda Show in Las Vegas.

The licensing agreement also reveals North Hill as the exclusive apparel licensee for Macbeth in Australia and New Zealand. The agency will offer its design and sourcing expertise to current and future retailers and licensees of the brand.

Stan Wan, director and co-owner of the company, states, “It’s a privilege to be associated with Saban Brands and its newly formed Lifestyle Group. We have much to gain from their history, innovation and principles. It’s rare to see a brand born from such an authentic footprint. To be a part of this global team to take Macbeth to its creative and commercial potential is truly exciting.”

Dan Castle, managing director of Saban Brands, also expressed his delight by adding, “The Mercer House and North Hill companies are highly regarded in the footwear and apparel industries. We are thrilled to partner with best in class licensees like them as we take Macbeth to the next level.” (PB)
