Indian women’s ethnicwear brand Biba showcased its latest Spring/Summer 2015 collection for the very first time at the Delhi leg of childrenswear-centric catwalk, India Kids Fashion Week (IKFW).

Themed around the magical fairytale world, the runway presentation, meant for little girls between 2 to 12 years of age, was divided into four different categories comprising clothing made using elegant fabrics in shades of pinks, peaches, sage and limes.

The first group featured black and white colour heavy dresses with splashes of quirky neon prints and Indian heritage inspired Kathputli and Mughal chintz prints.

The second formalwear range displayed luxe dupion silk, shimmery brocade and sheer chanderi fabric made outfits adorned with gotapatti work, bejewelled necklines, delicate embroidery and gold prints.

The third section included salwar kameez dupatta sets, tunics, summer casuals, ghaghra choli and pants enhanced with colourful and playful prints and interesting patterns.

The final entry of the new Biba Girls’ seasonal offering showed an array of long flowing mesh gowns and dresses.

Model Noyonika Chatterjee dressed in a beautiful Biba outfit and accompanied by her daughter, walked the ramp along with 33 other child models of the show at the third edition of IKFW. (PB)
