7 for All Mankind launches Visions of California 3D advert

7 for All Mankind has become the first-ever fashion brand to launch a groundbreaking 3D advertorial offering a 360-degree perspective to its new California-inspired spring collection.

Available on Google Play for Google Cardboard and Android phones, the virtual reality experience titled Visions of California has been developed in collaboration with Elle fashion magazine and the cinematic virtual reality solutions provider Jaunt.

Shot at a French chateau in Paris with Jaunt’s 360 degree, stereoscopic 3D cameras and advanced 3D sound-field microphones, the advertisement takes the consumer on a vivid journey while simultaneously allowing them to see the key shapes and fits of the extremely wearable fashion range.

Speaking on the new virtual offering, Barry Miguel, president of the Los Angeles-based clothier, said in a media statement, “7 For All Mankind has always been a pioneer in the fashion industry. We were first to market in the premium denim category, leaders in debuting technologically advanced fabrics and fit solutions, and now, a trailblazer for creating such a breakthrough method for how our customers experience our product.”

CEO of Jaunt, Jens Christensen, said, “Visions of California is a perfect example of how brands and content creators can come together to reach their audiences in engaging new ways, and this film showcases just how powerful storytelling in VR can be.”

SVP and publisher of ELLE, Kevin O’Malley, also commented on the creative association, “ELLE’s collaboration with 7 For All Mankind and Jaunt on this VR project exemplifies the innovative ways we build out creative concepts and content with our partners. It also reflects the growing convergence of media, fashion and technology.” (PB)
