Swimsuitsforall, the online swimwear retailer for curvy women, has launched its first-ever eco-conscious line created in association with international plus size model and environmental scientist, Laura Wells.

The chlorine and seawater tested capsule range, featuring three bikinis and a one-piece suit, has been made using a special eco-friendly recycled yarn derived from reused polyester and spandex, Recotex.

Available in sizes up to 24, the garments have been adorned with ocean-inspired prints, such as vibrant coral, bright tropical fish and dreamy underwater landscapes, and have form flattering details including adjustable draping, colour blocking, deep V-necklines, mesh inserts, straps and zippers.

In a press statement, Moshe Laniado, CEO and president of Swimsuitsforall, said, “Laura Wells is an important part of the Swimsuitsforall family and the work that she does to promote the beauty of our oceans organically aligns with the vision of our brand. We are proud to work with Laura and take this step together in creating fun, eco-friendly swimsuits.”

Speaking on her design venture with the label, the self-proclaimed ‘environmental eco-warrior’ said, “Swimsuitsforall gave me an opportunity to merge my passion for the ocean’s beauty with my role as an ambassador for body positivity. I am very excited for customers to see how sexy eco-friendly swimsuits can be.”

With the launch of the Laura Wells for Swim Sexy collection, the company expands the notion of ‘feeling good in a swimsuit’, allowing women to not only flaunt their curves in sexy styles, but also do their part to support the environment. All the packaging, including hang tags and product bags, in the collection is made of 100 per cent recycled paper. (PB)
