Ralph Lauren Corporation has announced that Steven P Murphy has been hired as a consultant to advise management regarding strategic and other business matters.

Ralph Lauren, chairman and chief executive officer of the company said, “Steven has been a highly valued member of our Board of Directors and provided us with extensive insight and guidance during his tenure. On behalf of the entire Board of Directors, we thank Steven for his many years of dedicated service and look forward to working with him in a new capacity.”
Murphy served on Ralph Lauren Corporation’s Board since November 2005. He was the chief executive officer of Christie’s International plc from September 2010 through December 2014. He previously served as the president and chief executive officer of Rodale Inc. from 2002 to December 2009, and joined Rodale in 2000 as its president and chief operating officer.
