R.G. Barry appoints Pam Gentile as new SVP of sales

Ohio based leading footwear developers and marketers R.G. Barry Corporation named sales executive Pam Gentile as its Senior Vice President (SVP) - Sales.

In conjunction with the promotion, the Company announced it has realigned its sales organization to better serve existing customers and to move its business into new channels of distribution.

Ms. Gentile has assumed leadership responsibility for the team handling sales in all of the Company's existing channels of distribution. A team led by Senior Vice President - Sales and Business Development Thomas JZ Konecki will focus on the identification, testing and implementation of the Company's new business growth initiatives.

Tunney. "Pam brings to her new role the skills and experience necessary to significantly enhance our position as the leader in the accessories footwear category. Tom's knowledge in building businesses will permit us to capitalize on our existing strengths as we grow into new channels."

Gentile, 47, most recently R.G. Barry's Senior Vice President Sales - National Accounts, has held a variety of marketing and sales positions, including national account manager for the Company's Wal-Mart business, during a 20-year career with the slipper marketer. Prior to joining R.G. Barry, Gentile also held management positions with the Express division of The Limited and Lazarus Department Stores.
