Keds teams up with designer Nanette Lepore for Spring 2007

Keds Corporation, the subsidiary of Stride Rite Corp, is delighted to add fashion designer Nanette Lepore to its exclusive list of collaborators.

The footwear brand announced a partnership with Lepore for Spring 2007. Lepore and Keds' product team will create twelve to fifteen styles, including ballet flats, skimmers, peep toes and d'Orsay flats. Each style will incorporate Nanette Lepore's signature prints and embellishments.

"Keds is one of those rare brands that holds iconic status in American fashion," said Lepore. "I'm excited about collaborating with them and love the idea of a feminine aesthetic interwoven with Keds' sporty look; it's going to be fun.”

The limited edition collection will debut on August 2nd at a private reception at the Nanette Lepore Boutique at The Forum Shops in Las Vegas to coincide with the World Shoe Association (WSA) trade show. Select styles will also be featured at the designer's runway show during New York Fashion Week on September 12, 2006 at the Bryant Park Tents.

Mischa Barton, spokesmodel for Keds, will wear a complete Nanette Lepore look in Keds' Spring 2007 ad campaign, pairing shoes from the exclusive collection with pieces from the designer's ready-to-wear line.

"Her feminine, whimsical designs and distinctive prints are perfect for Keds. In addition, this collection will build cachet and further momentum for the brand." Nanette Lepore for Keds will be sold at http://www.keds.com, Nanette Lepore boutiques, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale's, Macy's West and select specialty boutiques. The collection will retail for $60-$120.
