The Madrid International Fashion Week – SIMM – introduces the new proposals for men's, women's, underwear and bath fashion for the 2007 Spring-Summer season and becomes an integrating platform that gathers in all trends.

Renowned companies have joined young creators – National Designers Association – promising a fresh approach for the Spanish fashion industry.

The professional showing organized by IFEMA gathers 877 companies, which in turn represent about 1440 brands; France, Italy and Portugal have 300 exhibiters. During the event, the city of Madrid becomes the second largest business center for fashion in Europe.

In this its 56th edition, the SIMM establishes itself as the bridge between Europe and Latin American fashion by holding the third edition of the Latin American Fashion catwalk, with the participation of creators with a more vanguard profile. These include the Brazilians Melk Z-Da and Maxime Perelmuter.

Through the Texbrasil Program to encourage exports, and with APEX-Brasil's support, 11 companies participate in the show and introduce prêt-à-porter collections for men, women, beach and underwear fashion. They are: Adji Menswear, Arquitetura do Corpo, Diáfana Lingerie, Cleo Brasil, Espaço Bem Brasil, Heanlu, Lucidez e Moda Petrópolis, Sofi Beachwear, Sonhart, Sol e Energia.

The Orientavida NGO, Néon and Fábrica Morumbi brands and stylists Alessa, Mariana Martinez and Márcia Ganem, all invited by ABIT, complete the Brazilian group.

At present, Spain is the 2nd only to the United States as the most important market for Brazilian fashion exports.
