Sadie Frost is marking Fashion Week by wearing her … birthday suit!

Actor and fur-free fashion designer Sadie Frost is a frequent guest at London's Fashion Week, where she shows off her latest fun, fresh and youthful Frost French clothing collections.

This year, though, Sadie is marking Fashion Week by wearing her … birthday suit! A long-time fur foe and vegetarian, Sadie recently teamed up with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) Europe to bare all for a new anti-fur ad photographed by rock legend and fellow vegetarian Bryan Adams.

PETA is renowned for stealing the show during London Fashion Week.

In recent years, PETA has protested behind-the-times designers who still use fur – by disrupting the catwalk waving signs reading, “Fur Kills”, or by strapping on body screen TVs that show the public graphic video footage of animals who are being skinned alive for their pelts. Now, PETA is stealing the limelight again – this time by launching a new sexy ad.

“I don't use fur in my collections”, Sadie explains. “It's disgusting, and it reminds me of death and blood.” Besides, she adds, “Animal cruelty is always out of fashion”. Sadie's feelings about fur reflect those of the vast majority of the British public, who, according to surveys, find the use of real fur in fashion abhorrent.

Fur farming is banned in Britain, and leading fashion retailers – from High Street stores like Topshop to the department store Harvey Nichols – have fur-free policies. Bryan says, “I'm opposed to fur and anykind of use of animal products. I don't eat them, and I don't wear them”.

He adds, “I'm not for the killing of any creature, whether it be seals, cows, dogs [or any animal]. So anytime it comes to any kind of animal cruelty, I'm totally against it”.
