Crowning glory for Jade Jagger

Eldest daughter of activist Bianca Jagger and singer Sir Mick Jagger, 33-year old Jade Jagger is the creative director of Garrard, the British Crown Jewellers. She is responsible for three to four collections a year and has a team of five to oversee the design, display and advertising.
Her modeling career started with her appearance on a charity show once, which she did to make some quick cash to support her career as a designer.
In 2002, Garrard was looking for a creative director and it short-listed a few candidates, Jade being one of them. She met credentials of personality and glamour.
She was given the assignment with guidelines that she could be irreverent but not irrelevant. She began innovating Garrard's staid and classy image without estranging the royals and gentry, traditionally Garrard's customers.
Like all designers worth their salt, Jade symbolized her arrival at Garrard as the new creative director, with her two innovative collections- wings and skulls.
She developed the wings into Rock & Roll must-haves. Her skulls series, aptly named Yorick Collection, are among the best-sellers.
With Jade Jagger at the helm of affairs, Garrard has slashed its prices. The silver wing pendant costs only £95 (RM651), while the Superstar Medallion in full diamond is £50,000 (RM343,000) and the Gun pendant is the most expensive at £75,000 (RM514,000).
