Designer Marcio Pereira introduces new T-Shirts line 'Just Be'

Leading designer Marcio Pereira launches a new line of T-shirts exhorting wearers to "just be." Shirts are socially responsible and ethically designed.

Marcio Pereira, maker of the brand new Just Be NYC T-shirt line, saw the problem and created his clothes to be different. A graduate of the Pratt Institute of Art, he holds a degree in graphic design. It is with a designer's sensibility that he made his shirts to be individual objects of art. Originally from Rio de Janeiro, his designs reflect his urbane, cosmopolitan experience.

"We see so much in the world of fashion that appears aggressive, pointless and dark, and we wanted to tip the scales in the other direction, through something as everyday and ubiquitous as a T-shirt," said Pereira on his Web site. He sought to see his designs come alive, resonating with real-life wisdom, the rhythms of the city.

"Clothing with fresh inspiring designs is what we know how to do and what we believe we excel at," he said. "Our shirts and other apparel have been created with just the right balance of inspirational words and images, and with just enough ambiguity to encourage you to open up your imagination.”

The shirts are made of high-quality cotton, both carefully and ethically made in the United States. Shirts are produced in California factories where workers are paid according to fair wage and hour laws. Clothes for guys are bold and forceful, with blues and yellows encompassing a Just Be logo, a Japanese character set spelling out Wisdom, and exhortations to "Judge Not" and "Think Independently."
