Next fair scheduled for July 18 at Tokyo Big Sight. “TERROIR”, a collection of imported products, to be launched.
This time, IFF tried some new attempts that turned out to be a success attracting attention of visitors. One of them was a new corner named “NIPPON WAZAARI (Japan with excellent manufacturing skills and techniques”) to collect Japan's original processing technologies in various regions.
Totally eight groups joined the fair including SEIBAN Area Industry Promotion Center which introduced traditional Japanese White Leather in Himeji with more than 1000 years of history; Hirogawacho Society of Commerce & Industry which demonstrated the processing technique of KURUME KASURI (kimono with a splashed pattern); and CONSORTIUM ASUKA which showed textile made from YOSHINO KUDZU (arrowroot) in Nara.
Also, “SHIBUHARA” zone was newly established to introduce sexy and wild young fashion brands in the streets of Tokyo's trendy Shibuya and Harajuku district that have been increasingly attracting attention since last year.
Many buyers from Japan and Asian countries were very much interested in this zone. A seminar titled “Change in the New Generation of Married Women through Visual View: Right Solutions for Married Women's Fashion Marketing/Merchandising” was held by Ms. Keiko Yamada, an author of “Right Solutions for Married Women's Fashion Marketing/Merchandising”. The seminar room was full of audience.
The 16th International Fashion Fair (IFF) will be held at the Tokyo Big Sight West Exhibition Hall on July 18-20, 2007. In addition to the usual zones, a new exhibition “TERROIR” featuring upper moderate imported products is also planned. We will further strive to enrich and develop IFF as an exhibition to provide various encounters and business opportunities for the fashion industry.
