International Fashion Show displays all the razzle-dazzle

Gazelle has organized an International Fashion Show as a part of the Muscat Festival 2007 celebrations at Shangri-La's amphitheatre on January 31, 2007.
Notable personalities present at the occasion were Dr Rajiha bint Abdul Amir bin Ali, minister of tourism; Abdullah bin Abbas bin Ahmed, chairman of Muscat Municipality.
The audience experienced an evening of extravagant colours and high style of tradition, modern and fusion created by fashion designers took over the ramp.
The show was focused on Arabic dimension of designs and a tribute to the Arabian woman was paid. Vibrant clothes of traditional Arabic designs blended with modern cuts were showcased.
Eminent designers of Oman like Khadija Al Khunji, Khadija Al Lamki, Amal Al Raisi and Muneera Al Raisi, Ansam Al Khalaf from Kuwait, Hana Sadiq from Jordan and from India Pria Kataria Puri had participated.
Pria Kataria's collection was a fusion of oriental and western ideas.
Omani designer Khadija Al Khunji's clothes were based on Arabic culture and tradition.
When models presented Khadija Al Lamki's clothes on the ramp it proved a visual treat for the audiance.
Amal Al Raisi and Muneera Al Raisi presented the rich heritage and culture of Oman through their creations.
Evening gowns, dresses, skirts, kaftans, sarees, abayas were displayed during the evening.
All the designers tried to capture the essence of classic, contemporary, and ethereal style with their designers lines.
The fabric which was used had a wide range and the colour pallete displayed ranges from shimmery pearl, muted gold and bronze to burnt brick, peach, beige, orange and red.
On the whole the Barr Al Jissah's amphitheatre saw traditional yet modern fashion with stunning creations from top designers.
