Major textile brands at European S/S fashion fairs

ABIT – Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association, through the Texbrasil program and with the support of APEX-Brasil (Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), organizes the visit of some of the most important brands of Brazilian textile products at the Première Vision and Mod'Amont fairs.

This is the second time ABIT organizes the representation and participation of the Brazilian textile industry at this very important event in the world market. A total of seven companies will show their spring-summer 2008 collections and demonstrate Brazil's growing capacity to answer to European market demands.

Première Vision & Mod'Amont are unquestionable references among the international professional fairs dedicated to the textile sector. With more than 750 exhibiters, Première Vision, the first world fair for clothing fabrics, will permit Brazilian companies to be represented in a significant manner on the European and world market.

Technological investments in the Brazilian textile industry will permit substantial gains in terms of quality and productivity. Brazil is the second largest producer of denim in the world and it has multiplied its cotton production capacity fourfold over the past eight years, to 1,300,000 tons per year, becoming self-sufficient and thus positioning itself among the 4 main world producers.

The purity of cotton fabrics, and the combinations of artificial or synthetic fabrics, guarantee a sensitive touch, light and comfortable, typical of noble fabrics. Aware of its capacity, the country's textile industry develops an authentic Brazilian style.
