Shinsegae to launch luxury store on Feb 28

Shinsegae Co has scheduled the launch of its luxury department store on February 28, 2007 in downtown Seoul, after refurbishing its original flagship branch in Seoul.

Shinsegae is aiming mainly at women in their 30s and it has set a monthly sales target of US $10 million. Top global brands like Chloe, Chanel, Valentino and Giorgio Armani will be offered at the outlet. Products will comprise footwear and accessories.

According to Chief Executive of department store division Kang Seok, purpose of the newly built branch is to provide a pleasant shopping experience to customers.

Company is focusing on culture in order to upgrade lifestyle of its customers and it has developed three concepts to this effect, which are fashion, humour and art. Shinsegae is the third largest store chain in Korea.
