Fashion Marketing 2007 releases list of international lecturers

"The Italians have design, the French have brands, the Americans have the domestic market, the Chinese have the price, and what about us?”. This challenge has become the theme for Fashion Marketing 2007.

The II International Seminar on Fashion Marketing will gather international celebrities in fashion marketing on April 17 and 18, at the World Trade Center in Sao Paulo to discuss production, commercialization, creation and strategies the build brands on the market. ABIT will support the event.

Organized by journalist and fashion consultant, Gloria Kalil, the seminar gathers Brazilian professionals and the best foreign experts in the sector to exchange ideas, analyze strategies and identify opportunities for the Brazilian fashion industry. Like the first edition held in 2006, the event will focus on the fashion market, students, researchers, businessmen and professionals from the sector. One thousand people are expected this time.

The team of lecturers gathers international stars including Vittorio and Margherita Missoni, the executive director and image of the traditional Missoni brand; Missoni; Fern Mallis, vice-president of IMG Fashion, director of the New York, Miami and Los Angeles Fashion Weeks and consultant for the Moscow and Berlin Fashion Weeks; Colin McDowell, founder of Fashion Fringe and fashion critic for the Sunday Times Style; and Xavier Mayer, vice-president of Morgan Stanley and specialist in mergers and acquisitions in the global fashion market (Burberry, Gucci, Tag Heuer).

Among the national lecturers, Vicente Donini, president of the Marisol group must be underscored. Gilberto Gil, Minister of Culture and Paulo Borges, director of the Sao Paulo Fashion Week participate in the closing in a round table about "Brazilian Identity: Does it exist?".
