Dragão Fashion Brasil to discuss Brazilian fashion's creation identity

The countdown has begun for the Dragão Fashion Brasil, one of the largest and most important conceptual fashion events in the country. For 2007, the proposal is to discuss Brazilian fashion's creation identity, using the DNA theme: Dragão, Noble Art. ABIT once again sponsors the event and brings international journalists with APEX-Brasil's support through the Texbrasil Program.

There will be 30 fashion shows with creations from local and national stylists, as well as other attractions geared towards the translation and union of fashion, art and culture concepts. This will all be held April 10-13 at the Edson Queiroz Convention Center in Fortaleza, Ceara. The official opening is scheduled for April 9 with a fashion show by Ceará stylist, Mark Greiner.

The Convention Center's three air-conditioned rooms with capacity for 2450 guests will stage fashion shows by new creators as well as stylists from other states every day.

The confirmed names include Mario Queiroz, Marcelo Quadros, Joao Pimenta, Marcusson, Wilson Raniere, Riccard8 San Martini, King55, Gustavo Silvestre, Melkzeda, Weider Silveiro and C&A. Others who will show their creations include Ayres Júnior, Mark Greiner, Walerio Araujo, Anastacio Junior, Lindebergue Fernandes, Candida Lopes, Gilvania Monique, Natalia Viana and Larissa Fontenele and Andre and Rapha Castro, among others.

Now in its eighth year, the Dragão Fashion Brasil is part of the national fashion calendar and it will be enjoyed by both Brazilian and foreign press. This edition of the event is a must destination for all those who work with fashion and understand the subject. It will attract nearly 10 thousand people daily and will receive broad local and national press coverage.

During the four days of the Dragão Fashion Brasil, besides the fashion shows, the public will enjoy novelty products in company stands generating exchanges and establishing a business cycle for the sector between Brazil and abroad. In the spaces attached to the rooms, the event offers a schedule geared towards art and culture, with exhibits and lectures among other attactions.
