Kohl's offers top back-to-school fashion trends

Wisconsin based departmental store chain, offering online shopping for clothing and household goods, Kohl's Corporation for an estimated 60 million school-aged kids and their parents, late summer and early fall signifies the time-honored tradition of back-to-school shopping. Kohl's Department Stores provides kids and parents with a sneak peak into this year's hottest fashion must-haves that include peasant shirts and broom skirts, detailed denim, and outfits in berry tones as the color of choice.

"This year's back-to-school fashions allow teens to experiment with exciting trends and hip styles," said Julie Gardner, Kohl's senior vice president of marketing. "By mixing and matching various pieces, teens can create their own style."

Kohl's 2005 back-to-school fashion trends include:

Back to Bohemia -- Back-to-school fashions revisit the artistic movement of bohemia circa 1960 and into the 1970s. Eclectic, vibrant patterns and rich textures unite with peasant shirts, long, flowing broom skirts and vintage sequenced slides. The look is thrown together and layered, yet feminine and sexy, with an urban edge.

Fruitful Explorations -- Black is on the back burner, replaced by berry-toned colors ranging from ripe raspberry to deep grape. Also, pair browns with coral or turquoise for a hot color combination and overall look.

Denim -- Not to be mistaken for mere jeans, this fall's denim will express an individuality all of its own. Broken-in hip huggers and slim-fit cropped pants -- designed to show off your favorite boots -- feature everything from embroidered accents to silk and satin pockets.
