Retailer Hot Topic Comp Store sales fall 8% in Q2

Based upon this sales assumption, guidance for the fourth quarter earnings is now in the range of $0.30 to $0.38 per diluted share.
The Company will release sales for its fiscal month of August (four weeks ending August 27, 2005) on Tuesday, August 30, 2005 at 9:00 AM Eastern time.
Nation's mall-based specialty retailer Hot Topic Inc provides accessories and gifts to young men and women principally between the ages of 12 and 22. Torrid, the Company's second concept, provides plus-size fashion-forward apparel and accessories that target young women principally between the ages of 15 and 29. As of July 30, 2005, the Company operated 628 Hot Topic stores in all 50 states and Puerto Rico and 100 Torrid stores.
