German trade fair organizer CPM is going to held Autumn 2005 in Moscow, Russia during September 7th - 10th, 2005.

The presentation of the Federal Republic of Germany will be at CPM MOSCOW Autumn 2005.

It is an honour and pleasure for me to welcome you to the fifth consecutive official participation of the Federal Republic of Germany in CPM, offering the German Fashion Industry another great opportunity to benefit from the ongoing surge of demand for clothing in Russia.

This fall, sixty German companies decided to exhibit their collections for the season spring/summer 2006 on a net floor space of 1.686 square meters, positioned in two sections in pavilion 7/2 and 3.

The offer concentrates on Character Brands of the upper medium-to high market segments, including womenswear, menswear, leatherwear, casualwear, young fashion, childrenswear, lingerie and accessories. A cross-section of this offer is show cased at the German Fashion Catwalk, organised twice a day during CPM.

Exports of fashion from Germany to Russia, including knitwear, woven garments and accessories rose by a rate of 14 per cent last year, compared to the preceding year, representing a total value of € 282,6 million. During the first quarter of 2005, growth of apparel exports from Germany to Russia accelerated by an unexpected surge of 35 per cent, accounting for a value of close to € 101 million against the same period of 2004.

Due to this performance, German fashion suppliers to Russia increased their share in total apparel exports of the traditional fifteen member states of the European union from 24 per cent (2004) to 27 per cent during the first three months of 2005.
