Fashion retailer United Retail's shop @ home sales up 102%

Large-size women's fashion apparel retailer United Retail Group Inc announced the net sales increased 7% to $25.8 million during August 2005 from $24.1 million during August 2004.
Comparable store sales increased 8% for the month.
Net sales increased 11% for the fiscal year to date to $247.0 million from $222.9 million in the same period last year.
Comparable store sales increased 12% for the fiscal year to date.
Comparable store sales data does not include online ("Shop @ Home") sales. Shop @ Home sales increased 102% for the month of August and 103% for the fiscal year to date.
Raphael Benaroya, the Company's Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer commented, "They are pleased with the strong sales performance in August. Despite entering the month with lean inventory, sales increased as a result of more transactions per average store and a higher average price per unit due to meaningful full price selling. As the month progressed, inventories of Fall merchandise built up and we are now well positioned for the Fall selling season."
