Marchpole's new European CEO for JCC & Emanuel Ungaro

London based brand expertise firm Marchpole Holdings plc is pleased to announce that Jean-Paul Donald Potard, will be joining Marchpole as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Jean-Charles de Castelbajac ('JCC') Europe and Emanuel Ungaro Europe overseeing the menswear collections.
Donald joins Marchpole from Jean-Paul Gaultier where he was Chief Executive Officer from 1991 to 2005. His professional partnership with Jean-Paul Gaultier began in 1976 and he became General Manager in 1981 before becoming Chief Executive in 1991.
Whilst working with Jean-Paul Gaultier, his listed achievements integrated: - Launching several second line collections for both womenswear and menswear including: Gaultier public, Gaultier Junior, JPG, Jean' S Paul Gaultier.
- Securing a licensing agreement with SHISEIDO for perfumes in 1991 and launching Jean-Paul Gaultier perfumes for both women and men as well as a range of make-up for men.
- Creating a luxury accessories team in 1997 for products which included leather goods, shoes and jewellery.
- Establishing a world-wide sales network of Jean-Paul Gaultier shops in New York, Paris, London, Toulouse, Cannes, Taiwan, Hong-Kong, Singapore, Beijing, Shanghai, Dubai, Tokyo, Moscow and Las Vegas.
- Creating the set up of the Jean-Paul Gaultier Group, including establishing trading entities around the world and joint venture partnerships in Japan.
Donald was also a Board Member of the FrenchFederation of Haute Couture from 1995 to 2005, and was President of the Ready To Wear Federation from 1995 to 1999. In this role he was responsible for various issues, including renewing the governing regulations and bringing together the Federation with its British and Italian counterparts.
