Lifting the 1971 ban on Kangaroo products, California will now allow American footballers to flaunt boots made of Kangaroo leather.
This particular raw material was made popular by sports superstar David Beckham and other sports footwear used by professional athletes.
World's leading sport's wear brand Adidas has been making use of this hide but the company was no exception when it came to facing opposition from the animal rights activists.
However, even after withdrawing the ban, California will only allow use of leather gathered from non-endangered species.
The legislation was pending for nearly five years with Kangaroo Industry Association, Adidas and the Australian Government doing its best to find a way out.
