ARA to host fashion networking luncheon

The Australian Retailers Association in conjunction with fashionstate is hosting a fashion networking luncheon, providing an interesting and informative insight to showcase the different perspectives into the following latest retail topics.

Handling seasonality for the Northern Hemisphere brands, as Australia being the smallest market in the global Hemisphere Recruiting and motivating generation Y in a retail environment, with the challenges of using the traditional channels.

This seasons forecast and trends in fashion accessories Creating "Green", protecting the environment and your bottom line. Facilitated by Mr Richard Evans, Executive Director of ARA, this luncheon represents a great forum for the exchange of ideas, conversation and business contacts.

It will enable leading retail executives to keep in touch with the retail industry and issues that are making retail news.

Already confirmed for the panel of speakers are:
- Annemiek Ballesty, Managing Director of Fossil Group Australia and New Zealand. Annemiek's background is business turnaround and improvement, having spent 7 years with Arthur Andersen in London performing corporate recoveries for companies such as Leyland DAF, Ferranti and the Robert Maxwell Group.

She has spent the last 5 years growing the retail division to 16 stores and in turn Fossil Group in the antipodes from a distributor to a profitable $34 million US subsidiary. At Fossil her current focus is launching and marketing brands and developing the retail division.
