Fashion company Inditex H1 income up 29%

The Group foresees the opening of between 400 and 450 new stores in the full year 2005, including the 160 stores opened between 1st February and 31st July. The number of stores opened as at the end of the first half amounted to 2,404 in 57 countries.

Expected CAPEX for the whole of the year is between €750 million and €850 million, €335 million of which have already been incurred during the first half of FY2005.

Spain based Inditex is one of the worlds largest fashion distributors, with eight sales formats -Zara, Pull and Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho, Zara Home y Kiddy's Class- boasting 2.400 stores in 57 countries. The Inditex Group is comprised of over one hundred companies associated with the business of textile design, manufacturing and distribution.
