Beauty products supplier Sally Beauty is committed to empowering women in the fight against breast cancer. For the third year, Sally Beauty is partnering with the California Department of Health Services (CDHS) to promote free breast cancer screening services available through CDHS' Cancer Detection Programs: Every Woman Counts.
Sally Beauty stores throughout California will be distributing specially designed bag-stuffer ads that encourage women to utilize the program, which provides free clinical breast exams and mammograms to uninsured women 40 and over. Until there is a cure for breast cancer, early detection and treatment are the best way to survive the disease.
CDHS is part of the California Health and Human Services Agency. The CDHS is one of the largest departments in State government, with over 5,000 employees working in its Sacramento headquarters and over 60 field offices throughout the State.
The primary role of the Department is, simply stated, to improve the health of all Californians. Population-based public health and preventive services, environmental health programs, medical care services, and those programs that focus on special medical needs contribute greatly to the education of our children, the productivity of our workforce, and the quality of life for our senior population.
Leading beauty products company Sally Beauty Company Inc is the distributor of professional beauty supplies. The company has 3,000 stores in the US, Puerto Rico, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Mexico and Japan. The company carries a variety of hair care, skin care and cosmetics.
