For the first time this season, those showing in the 'East End' were scheduled on Wednesday afternoon to reduce travelling time.

The British Fashion Council opened an East End press and photographers lounge to accommodate those needing to file copy or images at 93 Feet East on Brick Lane which was well used.

While mileage across the city was reduced through this initiative, show logistics will require more attention to move this forward next season.

The 'New Gen Arms' at the Exhibition proved a great success by hosting the New Generation recipients, sponsored by Topshop, providing a spacious and comfortable setting for buyers and press to get up close to the designers and their creations, who are tipped to become influential stars of the future.

Hilary Riva, Chief Executive of the British Fashion Council said “London Fashion Week this season has proved a great success, not only in generating exposure for the designers themselves, but in boosting the economy through sales generated and media coverage.

The capital continues to raise its profile as not only the most creative of the fashion capitals, but as an inspiring city in which to do business.”
