Fashion Lab for designers to showcase innovative creations

Istanbul added one more glamorous chapter in its fashion history as 'Istanbul Fashion Lab', opened yesterday, is giving grand platform to new designers to showcase their talent. 'Lab' intends to pull lot of foreign buyers and gain commercial success in global market.
The Three day event organized by Turkey Fashion Designers Association, is going on in historical complex of Tophane-i Amire.
Foreign designers as well as local budding ones will display their innovative collection. The purpose for holding this show is to take Turkish fashion to a different level altogether so that it can easily compete with international brands.
Although, 'Fashion Lab' is taking place for the first time, is expected to held twice a year until 2010, to make the region a fashion hub in Europe.
The fashion world is coming together to generate new ideas and research through this platform, where original styles will be explored. It will help up-coming designers to understand current fashion scenario and create designs accordingly.
