The finale of the 4th day was dominated by a classic elegance, sophisticated yet contemporary feel. Raghavendra Rathore brought about a timeless quality and handcrafted features in this collection for Chivas.
The impeccable western silhouettes had a clear structure and were cleanly arranged. Kimono sleeves, broad belts, soft fluid silk and fabrics with metallic treatment created a pure look for daywear and lounge.
The fabrics included modern techno materials as well as hand-woven fabrics, luxurious wool and Benares silks and brocades – a selection that truly speaks style.
Crisp shirts and blouses came with geometric optical front prints or partly textures and were coordinated with sleek leather pants in dark hues. Colors were of urban origin and mixed neutral browns, black, greys and beiges.
Cape tunics and military style double breasted jackets and trench-coats had flashing contrasting satin lining. Giant floral motifs were applied in the form of intricate embroideries with lurex yarn and crystals to enhance the stylish reminiscence to the sophisticated 1980s silhouettes.
The overall appeal of this evening programme happened to be contemporary global and timeless modern through its smart amalgamation of Indian and Western design features.
