Despite recurrent chaotic situations engulfing Manipur, fashion trends have surpassed all barriers to send positive vibes throughout the country.
A fashion show was recently held by the Blue Ocean Fashion Academy in Imphal, providing a platform for upcoming designers and models to showcase their talents.
Blue Ocean, recognized as one of the most popular fashion designing institute of Manipur, conducted this traditional-cum-handloom fashion show with the aim to focus on cultural legacy.
Although fashion trends largely revolve around peppy western outfits like trouser, pants, jeans, jackets and coats, it also has a traditional tinge to it.
The expo emphasized on the fact that conventional dresses, handloom fabrics and designer weaves also form an unshakable base of the fashion industry.
Around twenty three young and fresh aspiring models and designers took part in the event flaunting the exquisite collection of ethnic handloom clothing.
