A perfect proportions of styles & silhouettes comes from Anupamaa

A revivalist of traditional techniques of old printing and needle work, Anupamaa Dayal's Clover Collection for Autumn/Winter 2008 at Lakme Fashion Week was a happy blend of styles and silhouettes in perfect proportions.
With nature as her inspiration, Anupama presented a combination of city slick-cum-resort look ideal for the glamorous urban diva.
The colour story matched the mood of the garments as aquamarine, avocado, coral, flame, white, purple and grey turned the exotic fabrics like chiffon, georgette, organza, muslin and satin into western silhouettes.
Dresses were stylish in mini and maxi lengths, kaftans had that touch of exotic oriental charm, tunics were comfortable and cropped pants ideal for relaxed lounging.
Blending fabrics, prints, colours, textures, Anupamaa sent out some stylish creations like the very feminine white chikan panelled dress with hand printed pale turquoise yoke with top stitch texturing.
The other stylish fusion wear were white satin floral and graphic story for a strategic printed smock dress, parakeet green long dress in georgette with appliqué in organza, chiffon and silk Lurex and the solitary rose pink sari in satin. The solo jumpsuit or Onesie as Anupama named it was in purple georgette having delicate ethnic work.
Sleeves were either with churis or just lean and long but at times they swirled in bell shapes. Embellishments were restricted to the neck or yokes with wooden beads, mirror or Zardosi work.
Having had many successful collections in the past Anupamaa Dayal once again gets lucky with her Clover range which has all the trappings of a hot seller for semi formal wear.
