FDDI signs MoU with German LDT Nagold Institute

As per the MoU, materials will be exchanged free. Joint organization of national or international seminars, conferences and symposia's; cooperation and exchange of research material, publications and journals for advancement of knowledge capital will also be done.

Strategic Alliance:
- Undertake joint research programs/projects;
- Exchange of academic staff & faculty;
- Exchange of PG & UG students;
- Joint organization of national or international seminars;
- Cooperation and exchange of research material, etc.

“The objectives and mandates of both the organization are therefore similar and complementary to each other. In accordance with the terms of cooperation both the institutes will facilitate active exchange of research material, publications and undertake joint research programs/projects involving the academia of the two institutes,” added Mr. Lakhara.

The exchange program will begin with effect from Jan 2009. LDT Nagold will send 20-25 students to FDDI-under the staff and student exchange program in January 2009. FDDI would reciprocate by sending their students in May/June 2009. This routine would then be followed every subsequent year.

“The MoU between FDDI & LDT Nagold will accordingly introduce synergy in the opportunities and advantages of both these institutions….” - Mr. Shashi Bhushan Shukla, IRS, Secretary FDDI.

FDDI & LDT Nagold agree to identify research themes of international, relevance and to form joint teams for carrying out research on them. The findings of such research projects will also be published jointly by the two institutes.

According to Mr. Shashi Bhushan Shukla, IRS, Secretary FDDI, “The MoU between FDDI & LDT Nagold will accordingly introduce synergy in the opportunities and advantages of both these institutions thereby bring about a significant transformation in education, research & development.”

This synergy is expected to enhance the capability of both the partnering organizations in the future. This strategic collaboration provides an excellent fit of strategy for developing innovative ideas & excellence in the area of collaborative programmes that are internationally and nationally recognized.
