Retailers have figured out that male spending during the Great Singapore Sale (GSS) has increased remarkably compared to the same period last year.
It was just last month that Aldo, Canadian shoe and accessories stores introduced accessories for men at two of its women accessories store at Bugis Junction and Wisma Atria. The all for men necklaces, bracelets, watches, belts and bags now accounts for around 10 percent of the products in the store and sales for the same have gone up 10 percent.
Besides, sales for Aldo men dresses, fashion and sporty footwear also saw a year on year rise of 10 to 15 percent during GSS.
It has been increasingly noticed that men who would traditionally buy shoes from departmental store would eventually get savvy and make purchases from boutiques like Aldo which have more to offer in terms of up-market styles.
