An ardent fashion designer, Farah Sayer, brought to light her newest collections of Sri Lankan handloom clothing yesterday at the Orchid Garden Hotel in Berakas.
Models displayed her new collections in a fashion show "Farah Sayer: Fusion of Fashion". After this show, she can widen her collections like custom jewelleries and handloom bags. Her collections have been welcome in the country, Sayer said.
Two-tone handloom cotton fabric, which can be used in making Baju Kurong or Kebaya dresses, is very popular in many manufacturers. The pure cotton fabrics used in all her clothing collections, are exclusively appropriate for the hot regions of Sultanate.
During an event managed by the British Community Association in Brunei, her modern designs and colourful clothing collections were appreciated by all.
The fashion show is meant not only for the display of colours and designs of Sri Lankan products but also for the promotion of young modelling talents, says Sayer. Local artiste Harry also performed in the show.
