Reebok to introduce Classic collection for lifestyle market
Aug '08
Reebok India has now set its eyes on monopolizing the fitness inspired lifestyle clothing market through the launch of its global lifestyle brand 'Reebok Classics' in the country. The sports giant has plans to set up exclusive stores, other than the 700 existing ones, for this new collection.

Sources informed Fibre2fashion that a total of 70 outlets are likely to be rolled out by the end of this year fetching revenues amounting to a staggering Rs14,000 million in this year.

Reebok India has created a life-style product portfolio for apparel, shoes and accessories and has inked a contract with style icon Bipasha Basu and youth icon Yuvraj Singh for representing the fusion of fitness and lifestyle through Reebok merchandise.

Especially directed at the menswear and women's wear segment, Reebok Classic will serve the niche market comprising the fashion and fitness conscious youth in the country.

The company presently claims to be holding a 51 percent market share in the Indian sports, footwear and apparel segment. The Classic collection to be launched will mainly include lifestyle goods for dance, biking, NFL sports gear and street style.

This apart, Reebok India will also launch designer products encompassing a collection under Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson name, jeans styled by cricketer MS Dhoni, Manish Arora collection and a host of other goods catering to global sports like skating among others.
