Tod's & Marcolin sign agreement for Hogan eyewear collection

The Tod's Group, undisputed leader of the luxury segment and the Marcolin Group, one of the leading players in the eyewear industry, announced the signature of the license agreements for the production and worldwide distribution of sunglasses and prescription frames under the brands Tod's and Hogan.

The agreements mark the debut in the eyewear market for both the brands. The launch of the first collections is planned for Spring/Summer 2010. The distribution will be focused in the flagship stores and selected multibrand stores as well as the most prestigious accounts and Department Stores worldwide.

The Tod's Eyewear collection will be positioned in the luxury segment, offering styles both for men & women that faithfully reflect the brand philosophy: Tod's is synonymous of Italian luxury, the perfect combination of excellence, outstanding quality and craftsmanship.

The Hogan Eyewear collection will feature a younger, dynamic and International style, for those consumers who love luxury products with an unmistakable personality, yet innovative and informal to be used in everyday life situations.

The 5-year licensing agreements are both consistent with Marcolin's brand portfolio. Diego Della Valle, President and C.E.O. of the Tod's Group, stated:“Entering the realm of eyewear represents a further enrichment of the Tod's and Hogan product ranges, which are already synonymous of the utmost quality for footwear, handbags, accessories and apparel."

Marcolin is a leader in eyewear and stands out within the luxury market for its high quality products, attention to detail and prestigious distribution. In 2007 it produced and distributed an estimate of 5.5 million eyeglass frames and sunglasses in more than 600 styles.
