The Nuance Group is pleased to announce the addition of a further Swedish airport to its existing portfolio. Stockholm Bromma, the Swedish capital's city airport, now boasts a 300 square metre SWIFT store, a shop concept developed specifically for the special requirements of lower passenger environments.

Bromma is Stockholm's city airport and the closest gateway to and from the Swedish capital. Originally inaugurated in 1936, the airport in 2007 served 1.8 million passengers, making Bromma Sweden's fourth largest airports in passenger volume.

The Nuance Group opened for business at Bromma on May 20. The eye-catching 300 square metre SWIFT concept store is a walkthrough shop located right behind the security check area, resulting in every departing passenger actually entering the store. The shopping offer comprises perfume & cosmetics, toiletries, confectionery, electronics, CDs & DVDs, toys, tobacco and sunglasses.

SWIFT was developed by The Nuance Group specifically to meet the special needs of low passenger environments. Due to its high flexibility and adaptability, SWIFT Retail Units can stock a broad range of products from diverse categories. Focussing on the typical best selling products that can be found in any large airport, SWIFT provides the customer with a wide selection of competitively priced products.

The SWIFT concept made its Swedish debut earlier this year, when a 350 square metre temporary shop was opened at Stockholm-Arlanda's Terminal 5 F Pier. The store is designed to serve the increasing number of passengers until a new walk-through store opens in mid-December 2008. At Arlanda, the product assortment comprises tobacco, perfume & cosmetics, toiletries, confectionery and liquor.

Jean-Paul Bonnel, CEO, The Nuance Group Europe, commented: “We are very happy to further develop our business in Sweden by adding Bromma Airport to our network. From our experience at London City Airport we are well aware of the needs and expectations of the very specific customer profile at a city airport, and I am particularly pleased that we could implement our SWIFT concept which allows us to perfectly cater to these demands at Bromma Airport.”

Speaking on behalf of LFV, Annika Ljungberg Commercial and Operations Manager, said: "The duty and tax free shop at Stockholm-Bromma Airport represents another step in developing services that better meet the wishes of different target groups. We have received very positive, appreciative comments concerning both the design and product range of the shop. This represents a genuine improvement for the airport."
